The Mayan Calendar cycles around 13 Full Moons of 28 days, which leaves one day per year, that is "Out of Time".
That day is July 25th, annually, and known as "The Day Out of Time", when BLUE STAR SIRIUS rises with the Sun. During this meeting, which lasts about two weeks (July 25/26 - August 12/13), both the Sun and Sirius exchange information about the journey's they've been on since their last meeting; Tantra is in everything: exchange, balance, harmony, cosmic alignment. "How's the Solar System?!" "Good... good... still a lot of unconsciousness and destruction, but everyone else is busy. You? How's the Universe?!" "Well, you won't believe it, but here's the goss..." And Sirius and the Sun catch up for a cuppa. Or a two-week rave - wherever your imagination takes you. If you're sensitive, starseed, indigo, or mystic in anyway, you may sense this meeting - this portal - in such things as enhanced synchronicity, or chance meetings. These things usually happen when you "step out of time", and become truly present in the moment, and in the world around you. The DooT is a celebration of Unity Consciousness, where we have the opportunity to realign with the Greater Cosmic Cycles, and the present moment that so many slip out of, into habitual living: work, sleep, eat, work, sleep, eat... TGIF! Work, sleep, eat... repeat. The Lion's Gate Portal opens on this DooT, and for a week or two, Earth is flooded with Cosmic Codes and Information, Upgrades, Downloads, and SYNCHRONICITY ON SPEED! Upgrades and Downloads usually coincide with letting go of the "old" you; places, people, habits... Strange weather patterns can occur as the eco-system integrates new codes. There are chance meetings, and messengers, the Company of Goddesses and Priestesses as the Moon Cycles are aligned with the Royal Suns. There is also the opportunity for Realignment with your Cosmic Destiny due to the Portal, and the Courage of the Lion Energy. Re-evaluate what your Heart wants. This is a time to tune into your Heart, and then pave a New Path - forward - with your newfound knowledge, courage, and burning desire. Just intuitively, here are a few things I think you need to know: The Legend of Starcrash If nothing else is working, Try Homoeopathy The Lion's Gate is an *extremely* powerful to time to Make Your Own Medicine! Looking for something to read, or watch? If you haven't already... STEP INTO YOUR POWER. Write, make art, heal, illuminate. First, the talking stick.

Kali Yuga is a crazy time… the dark-age of man. There aren’t many real grown-ups, here, on Earth.
When you need someone to hold-space for you to express yourself safely, you’re usually met with a “what about me!” In that way, no one is ever heard; you shrink, and the other person becomes repelling. Or, there’s fighting. Space is feminine… a woman holds inside her body, *space* for new life. It’s a sharing quality that creation gave to her. In a world that suppresses the Goddess, there is *no space*… every void is filled, and people don’t know how to listen, and just sit with the sounds and the silence of creation. But the ancient tribes of earth knew what was up… Soul Retrieval by Sandra Ingerman Imagine yourself sitting in a circle with members of your community. You have gathered together to support one community member who is suffering from a traumatic experience. You know that if one person is suffering and is ill it effects the entire community. So you have come to help hold the space for healing to happen. It is dark and the stars are shining bright in the night sky. The air is still. Everyone feels held in the loving arms of the universe and there is no doubt that healing will happen for all gathered here. So when someone comes along and says: “what about me!”, they are not being a member of the community. They are penetrating the atmosphere of healing with individual ego-force – and their behaviour is leaking childhood-wounds. All over everyone. Being a female is not divisive; it’s a fact of life. In tribes, there was women’s business, and men’s business, and each one respected the other; it’s how they got shit done. You would think that we were evolved enough to utilise the technology we have, to advance our communications – but the human-race is stuck in its infancy; it’s reactive. It imagines intonation in the written-word. It argues with itself, on your posts: commonly known as projection. You would think that we were evolved enough to mingle women’s business, and men’s business, and that it would help us learn about each other, and respect each other – but that can never happen if people don’t know how to listen. Not everyone has your life. Not every girl has brothers, sons, a father, or knows men. Some people have no family, or have been betrayed by it. #RoseArmy and #MeToo are working on some world-changing things… that you are a part of. This movement is about women; woman-led. If women hadn’t spent their lives working for this (without pay), enough to gather in unvanquishable number, in the face of adversity, criticism, attack, and interruption, there would be no *spotlight* for anyone to be heard in, in this moment. Ladies, first. Just like chess; there are rules. And we are in a patriarchy; everything has to be tactical. Measured.
This Goddess-Moment does not want to be your mother. That’s Lilith (currently conjunct Galactic Centre).
She might want to be your Lover, your sister, your friend – she might not. How can she if you act like her child? If you don’t behave as her equal? Men can totally share their #MeToos; they are simply joining in, as equals. I HAV PRAYED ENDLESSLY 2 WITNESS THE TURNING OF THE TIDE, I ONLY WISH MY BF WAS HERE 2 EXPERIENCE IT! BUT IM SURE HES SMILING DOWN! ???❤ — Corey Feldman (@Corey_Feldman) October 17, 2017 1 DAY JUSTICE WILL B SERVED 4 BOTH OF US! GOD WILL SHOW THE LIGHT! THANK U ALL 4 THE BEAUTIFUL WORDS & SUPPORT! IM SO HAPPY PPL R WAKING UP! — Corey Feldman (@Corey_Feldman) October 17, 2017 Hear that? *So* Happy “ppl r waking up!” Don’t hurt Corey with your low-vibrations. Anyone saying “what about me!”, or “what about men!”, or “this is a divisive psy-op!”, is behaving like a child. Let women gather, and get organised. Support them, or leave them alone. Show some respect. You, child, come next. Once women have regained the power that was stolen from them, she won’t forget about you. Her nature is sharing – despite your individual experiences. This planet belongs to women. Mother Earth is a mother. There are mothers around who actually LIVE for the chance to mother someone; bring her a gift, respect her, and invite or ask her to take you under her wing. Women should respect women’s right to not want to be mothers while they deal with their own pain. They need to stay *focussed*. Knowing where you fit is the best self-care you can do; same as knowing where you don’t fit. Rose McGowan has been working on her #RoseArmy for at least two years that I know of. I’ve been working on sexual education and human liberation my whole life, and have really thrown myself in, in the last 5 years, after my last rape completely destroyed my life. Slaving away. Dying, slowly. Tarana Burke started a MeToo movement, 10 years ago, that has now joined forces with Alyssa’s latest one. No-one owns the expression: ‘Me, too’. It’s the most universal and unifying concept in human experience: affinity. The origin story is sad; Tarana was a camp counsellor, and a girl confided in her about her stepfather graphically sexually abusing her, and Tarana stopped her short, sent her to someone else, and couldn’t bring herself to say: “Me too”. “The look on that girl’s face,” she said, “The shock of being rejected, the pain of opening a wound only to have it abruptly forced closed again — it was all on her face,” she wrote. That’s what people are doing to one another online; only you don’t get to see the shock on the faces of the ones you hurt with your words. How can you know what you’ve done. Since the MeToos, you now know, without a doubt, that the world is no longer on your shoulders: you can take a break, and know that a member of the Rose Army, or a MeToo, will take the nightshift, the dayshift, or the weekend, and you can have rest. As long as you come back when you’re ready, the spotlight on this stays ON.

Why don’t men understand sexual abuse?
Because they don’t know how to listen. Listening is a receptive quality that is usually attributed to females. The “Yin” factor. Receptivity has depth; it is in communion with all that is, and can draw from the pools of collective consciousness – depending on how far home you want to go. This, is a man’s world. Girls have been conditioned and groomed to be receptive; to be obedient. To a male-god. And to allll His representatives: To the “man of the house”. To the male-authorities in the community she grew up in – teachers; priests; government; business-men who control the money she’ll someday need to rent a house on stolen land. – the primary reason prostitution of all sorts even exists. But Life is Tantra; it is the exchange of yang (penetration) and yin (receptivity), forever. When women express their natural yang nature, they are silenced by men; beaten into submission; called names; abused; locked-away – and yes: even murdered. For daring to SPEAK her unscripted mind that does not say the words he wants to hear. That’s why I write; from behind the safety of my computer screen, where I can express myself without being interrupted. talked-over, silenced, or abused. Being receptive, I’ve noticed a trend around “men” on the internet, over this HW exposé: men do not understand sexual abuse. “Why didn’t she DO this?” “Why didn’t she DO that?” Do? To “Do” is yang. She is not allowed to be yang. She is only allowed to be submissive, obedient, and to act in accordance with his vision: The Male Gaze. She lives in fear of being murdered. And that is what men don’t understand about “coercion“; she is afraid. Fight, flight, FREEZE. She is threatened, bullied, harassed, manipulated, or held-captive until he gets what he wants. The hell of staying with him a minute longer is shortened by surrendering sooner. Playing dead may just save your life. Not only do these men not understand sexual abuse; they don’t know how to listen when the generous women of the internet take valuable and precious time out of their lives to school them. Thank you, Ladies! (And thank you to my bros who know I’m tired, and who understand that men don’t/can’t/won’t listen to women, and who educate the dinosaurs that still live amongst us… I feel excited to be alive to see these subtle changes grace our modern-days; to see the voice of men rising on behalf of women. Without having to ask.) James Van Der Beek, of Dawson’s Creek fame, knows all too well what it feels like to be sexually harassed by older, powerful men in Hollywood:
If Hollywood is owned by men, it is their visions, fantasies, stories, and animas that have penetrated our psyches: what we think might be women, might actually be just male-fantasy…
They highjacked the Dreamtime, and implanted it with nightmares. The actresses who bring these female-characters to life weren’t counting on the one-dimensional perception of mankind through the lens of storytelling – she understands layers, and body-language, and pregnant silences. The average man does not. But girls usually don’t realise this until they become women. Sometime around the age of 30 (post-Saturn Return). On my 30th Birthday, I looked around in horror as I realised: “Oh my god; I’m older than every man on the planet.” And I finally understood that “look” I’d seen in the eyes of women older than me. Now: everyone is different. Generations are different. Times are different. Joan Collins had to marry her rapist. Sarah Polley comments this: What else are we turning a blind eye to, in all aspects of our lives? What else have we accepted that, somewhere within us, we know is deeply unacceptable? And what now will we do about it?
Emma Thompson says:
We’ve ALL had these experiences. I spent my 20’s trying to get old men’s tongues out of my throat.
Some girls can totally kick-ass – these might be girls with a strong Mars, or strong Fire-Signs and aspects in their charts.
They fight. Most girls come from families where the men in their lives treat them like people: they do not yet know they are in for a life of sexual-abuse and assault “out there”. They’re friendly, equal. Some girls, have brothers that protect them, or teach them to fight just by growing up together. Some girls are warned by their fathers to “watch out” for outside men. These girls are lucky. And so are the boys. Family gives them foundation and context for the world. HOWEVER Some girls are not so lucky to be born into a Loving family: they are born into abuse. Sexually abused by their fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, and “family friends”. Those girls have to grow up in his house. Be forced to Love him; feel confused. See him every day. Pose for family photos. I know a girl who dated her rapist for two years, after the incident. Another, for 7 months. Most of the time, it’s not strangers that rape you: imagine how safe that feels. So why is Rose in a photo with HW, after? She’s an actress. A professional. At the time of this photo, I believe she was engaged to RR. Just ‘guessing’… I might surmise her fiancé had assured her he’d “be right there”, “nothing will happen”, “we’re in a public place”. Maybe she felt invincible, that day. Loved. She mentioned: “My ex sold our movie to my rapist.” I can imagine the sting of that betrayal. Sometimes, it can take a while for a woman to register abuse; or even worse: to be affected by it. Childhood memories may not surface until an older age. Maybe the last – or latest – rape or assault is the straw that broke the camel’s back; after 30 years of sexual abuse and assault, see how nice you become. People have told me they like me “better, before”. Well guess what: I liked me, too. I cannot BELIEVE the amount of abuse I have had to integrate and recover from; instead of having a life. And every time I think it’s time to start again, I get interrupted by the Darkness of Man. It takes an army of women to be heard. And I feel somewhat Heartened by this whole Hollywood catching of a Big Fish… Hollywood holds the collective-consciousness of the majority of the world. These brave women have changed something. – can you believe how long it took for anyone to even bring-up the word: JAIL?! I hear he plans to “run to Europe” for rehab – before he’s put behind bars, don’t you think? No-one wants to be renown for being a rape-victim – the shame is extinguishing. It humiliates you until you shrink. Hate yourself. Become removed from the time-stream; never catching up to yourself. Falling behind. Becoming brain-damaged and growth-retarded. Frozen. Most girls with behavioural problems have suffered abuse, and tried to bury it. The PSTD destroys your health.
(Comedy/Tragedy are the twin-flames of storytelling.)
I have collected my courage from the various women who have spoken-out, over the years: Tara Moss, Pamela Anderson, and all the women in the powerful documentary, “Brave Miss World”, by Linor Abargil.
The one time I did find my voice, to write a poem about it, was because I had felt what it might feel like for someone to have my back in Love.
“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” ~ Lao Tzu
Present Day, I don’t feel so alone now that it’s in the spotlight…
I’m pretty sure women of the world would all much rather be following our dreams, chasing our goals, crafting our inventions, and writing and directing the movies and screenplays that carry the messages we so wanted to tell. But, we don’t get to have a life. We have to fight a never-ending war on sexual abuse, while men get to do whatever they want.
Our lives are interrupted. By male-violence. Injustice. Horror. Shock. Disbelief. And PTSD.
Sometimes, we get murdered; instantly, or slowly. They say: “Life is what happens when you’re busy making plans.” When your life is interrupted, and/or darkened, you can see CLEARLY what is wrong with the world. You are taking part of someone’s soul. It’s happened to me. It alters the course of your life; it’s altered the course of my life. ~ Rose McGowan
Mine too, Rose. Mine too.
*~ GROUP-HUG ~* to anyone who has suffered abuse at the hands of men. I celebrate this moment, where a spotlight has been shone on a collective-shadow. Thanks to the #RoseArmy and all the women who spoke out, speak up, and won’t shut-up until justice reigns on earth. THIS POST IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!
2021 Update: Previously, I wrote posts to inspire revelations in the reader, because I didn't like being an "explainer", so they tended to be a little abstract, and lead the reader to wonder... since writing this, I've realised people like details in clear black & white, and, newer details have since emerged that help to make this story, clearer, so I've decided to update it. Enjoy!
Once Upon a Time... sometime in the 1920's, Sigmund Freud's nephew - Edward Bernays - popularised and refined the concept of Propaganda. He even wrote a book with that title.
He based the Art of Media Manipulation on his Uncle's Research into Human Desire. Yes, you heard that right: the original Data-Hacker, gathering info on what you desire, in order to manipulate you into doing whatever The Puppet Master wants you to do - usually, to sell you things. The etymology of the word "Propaganda" comes from "Propagate" - which is what you do to plants when you want them to grow, and "multiply". In Latin, it's a feminine word, because it's like Mothers, who "multiply" children. The word rose to fame through the church - as most dangerous things do - when they wanted to "propagate" the Faith; as in, spread the word. Multiply the Church. Reach far and wide with their message. Such is propaganda, designed to multiply through you. The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.
According to wikipedia, Propaganda is as old as Human Recorded History.
âThe first time Propaganda was seen in the Media, was probably in War Propaganda - this is said to have inspired Bernays; apparently, he was inspired by how propaganda might be used for peace. Propaganda is like symbols and magic; in the wrong hands, it can go badly. Leading people to war and chaos. In the right hands, it can guide you to exactly what you desire, in the shortest way. Similarly to some of Nikola Teslas's Creations, Tesla soon realised that in the wrong hands, his creations could become very dangerous. (scroll to #8: Lasers) Things he created for defence and medicine could also be used by bad men, aggressively: "Death Rays". The earliest known propaganda film was a series of short silent films made during the Spanish-American War in 1898 created by Vitagraph Studios. At an epic 120 minute running time, the 1912 Romanian IndependenÈa României is the first fictional film in the world with a deliberate propagandistic message... the movie was meant to shift the perception of the Romanian public towards an acceptance of Romanian involvement into an expected Balkan conflict (the First Balkan War)
Why is there always a smiling woman in a bikini selling you a car?
"Look how happy this hot-chick is. Buy this car, and you'll get all the girls." So which is more valuable or desired: the woman, or the car?
I bet you didn't know that Diamonds weren't really even that rare and valuable?
Nor that Marilyn Monroe (Norma-Jean), herself, actually preferred diamantes. I read that in a book, sometime; she said she preferred diamantes because you could wear so many of them, unlike diamonds. But I can't find mention of it online, just this, which says she didn't like diamonds, so let's just speculate. My mum had this book I wasn't allowed to read, written by her housekeeper? I just remember reading something about the cleaner walking in on Marilyn peroxiding her pubic hair, surprised that Marilyn wasn't a natural blonde. But here is the story that diamonds aren't that rare; their value was "inflated" - propaganda.
ooo...shiny.
First, Monopolise ALL the Diamond Mines
De Beers took control of the global Diamond Trade; owning as many mines as possible - by any means, mind you, and everything along the Diamond Supply route, including the jewellers.
"Blood Diamond", the movie, was created to show us the circumstances surrounding diamond mining, and Ethical Diamonds have been created to appease those who've since learned the truth. Second, Control Supply and Demand
Through Marketing and Propaganda, literally "invent" a need for Diamonds, where there was none. If you owned all the diamonds and supply chains, why would anybody else want one? Black Opal is rarer than Diamonds, along with many other precious gems.
No, you have to make them desire what you have. Wealth, Power, Influence. Diamonds. A Woman for Life. Read the full, elaborate tale OF DE BEER'S Diamond Monopoly, here.
Put on your magic, THEY LIVE" glasses
and let's look at some of the messages being used to target and manipulate our emotions by De Beers
Propaganda is frequently used as Crowd Control.
To this day, the most prevalent tv shows are about Law, Order, and courtroom shenanigans. "OBEY" is the message. The LAW is watching - they'll get you! These days, they protect the corporations from YOU! Also: "You're smart. See if you can figure it out before the detectives do!" - as long as you're not paying attention to actual reality, and your mind is occupied, we're all good. (I may as well just quote the entire plot of THEY LIVE ~ lol) Cooking channels are a Lifestyle; not necessarily propaganda. Although it could be said that lifestyles are for the comfortable.
I'm reminded of a quote I once saw from an online-guru.
âFrom memory, he said:
HOLLYWOOD
Are Hollywood Movies influencing the behaviour of society?
THE HAYS CODE was introduced as cinematic censorship in the 1930's; removing natural sexuality from stories resulted in the creation of a sexual sub-culture, and subsequent billion-dollar industry. âIt says: "Mankind has always recognized the importance of entertainment and its value in rebuilding the bodies and souls of human beings.
So... humans are impressionable, hey...?
Could media and and the enlightening art of storytelling *possibly* be used to forward an agenda; specifically if someone or something had a media-monopoly...? Read THE HAYS CODE Like, for example, if the church wanted to scare teenagers out of having sex, would it make sure that sexual characters in horror-movies got murdered, and virgins survived? It did do that. In the Playboy Documentary, "Sex at 24 Frames Per Second", I became very enlightened about a lot of Hollywood propaganda - especially how the The Hollywood Code created the porn-industry by censoring sex from stories; if stories guide the psyche, removing sex from stories about life cuts a person in half at the waist, in just the way the church does. Isolating the lower, humanimal nature does not transmute it; it creates an underworld devoid of insight. A very dark place.
Here, we openly acknowledge the potential for psychic influence, manipulation, and mind control.
I also watched "Sex, Censorship, And The Silver Screen"; a 6-Part Series, Hosted by Raquel Welsh - but you'll have to search for it because it's highly censored - ironically.
"Hence, though regarding motion pictures primarily as entertainment without any explicit purpose of teaching or propaganda, they know that the motion picture within its own field of entertainment may be directly responsible for spiritual or moral progress, for higher types of social life, and for much correct thinking.
Whose thinking?
The following is an example of the seeds of the stories that have calculatingly manipulated the collective-mind since storytelling was harnessed on the silver screen; along with the psychological aftermath of these themes that have been magnified by their sojourn in the shadows. Exclusion - regulation by agenda - thereby 'created' the shadow: it empowered the imaginary 'devil' in the dance of duality. Let the projector shed some Light on a shady subject!
MARLON BRANDO had a point to make, and he refused to accept his Award for The Godfather. He sent in indigenous woman - Satcheen Littlefeather - to read his speech - but she wasn't allowed to read it.
Perhaps at this moment you are saying to yourself what the hell has all this got to do with the Academy Awards? Why is this woman standing up here, ruining our evening, invading our lives with things that don't concern us, and that we don't care about? Wasting our time and money and intruding in our homes. I've never read Steinem. I've never been into institutionalised "feminism"; I've always just been pro-woman, pro-Mothers, pro-Goddess.
Questions to ask yourself might be: what would the CIA want with Feminism?
Some conclusions might include: if it's women fighting other women instead of the common enemy, then it's not feminism.
If it's not elevating and liberating women from 'The Pyramid' Man has built upon The Male Gaze, then it's not feminism.
âArt excluded; Art is layered, and rarely understood by the logical mind.

So What Can I Do?
Start asking yourself: what is this trying to sell me?
Whether it's a lifestyle, or an idea, or an actual product.
Most importantly, whether it's psychological warfare, trying to distract you from reality: reality is where the rich steal all the land, all the resources, and suggest that is you spend your time and life labouring for others, when you get really old and tired, you might be able to buy your dream car.
âAsk yourself: why can't you have that now?
For example, I'm trying to sell you on the idea of joining my mailing list, so they we can be best-friends forever, and I can let you know when I post something new (or updated), because I Love to write, teach, connect, and communicate.
I want to find ALL the people who want to find me.
And don't believe everything you read on the internet; not even snopes, not even wikipedia. Do a bit of research, find a few perspectives, avoid extremist thinking.

This Wisdom comes from the Ancient Mexican Culture; A Tribe known as the Laika.
The Four Insights comprise the Four Levels of Perception, in the Human Brain; from the Reptilian Brain (which we all have), to the Neo-Cortex - the newest evolution of the human brain.

The Body and Physical Perception: The Level of the Serpent
The Serpent is an instinctual creature with extraordinary senses that it can rely upon to tell it where there is food and where there is a predator. Similarly, in the physical realm, we humans rely upon on our senses to give us a picture of ourselves and the world. This is a very material level of perception, where everything is tangible, solid, and difficult to change; where reality is 1 percent spirit and 99 percent matter.
From this perception of serpent, we can see, touch, and even smell an object in front of us, such as a loaf of bread, and we know that it's there, physically present. We don't imagine the stalks of golden wheat in the bread, the kneading of the baker, or the fire that transformed it into a loaf that we can eat - we only see an object that can satisfy our desire for hunger. Similarly, we don't see sex as an act of Love; we see it as an act of longing that will satisfy our desire.
At the level of the serpent, the language we use to depict reality is molecular and chemical. We could describe bread scientifically, [ - making executive decision to edit out some details. I trust you will 'get' these concepts!]...
... When we see problems through the eyes of the serpent only, we try to come up with physical solutions. We want to change the job, trade in the car, find a new partner, or have an affair...
...At serpent, we rely totally on our instinctual senses and don't reflect more deeply on our problems. We're operating from that part of the brain we share with lizards and dinosaurs - that is, we're aware of our physical bodies, but we're not cognizant of our mental, creative, and spiritual selves. In this state, we perceive outer form and accept only the obvious, remaining blind to our feelings and those of others. We're devoid of rich, complex thinking, and simply act and react. This state can be very useful for operating in the physical world. After all, we need to pay bills, mow the lawn, and drive the kids to school without reading any more meaning into these actions. And, as Sig. Freud once famously remarked, " Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."
Remaining in serpent - that is, putting one foot in front of the other - is especially helpful for getting us through immediate crisis. Our reptilian brain is in charge, working from survival instincts, and we simply do what has to be done without wasting valuable energy thinking about it, analyzing it, or getting emotionally distraught about it. We all know how wearying it is to meet someone who refuses to function at this level even when it['s very practical to do so, choosing to read deep meaning into eve the most trivial of matters instead of just getting the work done.
The instincts of serpent are also very helpful because they can alert us to danger before we consciously perceive it - we get a "bad vibe" about a person or place and avoid it without knowing why, or we sense that a police officer with a radar gun is up the road, so we take our foot off the gas pedal.
Serpent is an essential state to master, as we have to be effective in the physical world and take care of business in a practical way. But when we allow our need to survive at all costs to dominate, we're not always so pleasant to be around. We reach for the most literal signs of security... ... We coil up and contract, striking out before the other guy can clobber us; we amass weapons and build fences. In fact archeologists found excavating neolithic sites have found that the earliest defenses built by humans weren't designed to protect them from physical enemies but from the invisible ghouls and dangers they perceived from the level of the serpent.
Unfortunately, much of humanity has lived at the level of serpent for thousands of years. Many people who take the Bible and the Koran literally, with their instructions to slay infidels, still live in this realm. It's important to be able to take our perception up a notch, for the good of ourselves and our world, because serpent is the cold-blooded domain of "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth."

The Mind and Emotional Perception: The Level of the Jaguar
In this perceptual state, jaguar, the mind interprets our reality. We recognize that the mind can create psychosomatic diseases or restore health, that repressed anger can cause cancer, and that a positive attitude brings joy and peace to ourselves and others around us. We're aware that our experiences are influenced buy our thoughts and that everything isn't necessarily what it seems to be in the physical realm.
Now when we look at a loaf of bread, we know that it came from the fields of wheat, and the baker... [possibilities with bread; eat it, butter, store it, give it away, food fight etc] but we've been taught certain beliefs about bread, and those beliefs influence our decision about what to do with it. We know that it's not right to waste food, so we quickly brush aside any temptation to throw it across the room just for fun.
In short, we understand that that we have choices, but we also know that those choices are limited by our beliefs about bread. We also comprehend the bread's symbolic meanings: We understand that it represents life, as in " the bread of life"; we use the expression "white bread" to denote a person who lacks dimension and personality; and we say: "I have no bread" to express a lack of money. A loaf of bread represents more than the satisfaction of our hunger, and having sex represents more than the satisfaction of our need - it can be an act of intimacy.
The realm of beliefs, ideas, and emotions is associated with the jaguar because this type of perception can suddenly transform situations, causing them to be seen in a new light, and such a creature is the archetype of sudden change. The jaguar spots [its] prey and pounces on it, quickly extinguishing its life - yet this helps keep down the population of the other animals and maintain balance in the rain forest, thus making it possible for other life to thrive in the ecosystem. In the same way, a single insight can allow us to break free from our negative feelings or an old way of operating that's preventing us from moving forward.
The jaguars' instincts are different from those of the serpent, which is solely concerned with survival and preservation. Jaguars are curious and inquisitive - our cat instinct leads us to the right people and situations (or the wrong ones, if our feline instinct is flawed). Jaguar perception is associated with the mammalian brain, that of emotion and deep feelings of Love, intimacy, family, caring, and compassion. Yet it is also the brain of aggression, superstition, amulets, and Nostradamus and Genghis Khan. The language of the level of jaguar is spoken or written words, which we use to form and express ideas, beliefs, and feelings. Here we understand symbols and signs and can agree that certain sounds are words that mean something specific.
From jaguar, we recognize that we can give a hungry man a fish, but a more practical long-term solution is to teach him how to fish. We know that we can give a starving child a piece of bread, but we also know that one does not live on bread alone. We rise above the literal level and see a wider range of possibilities in any situation. If we have a migraine, we ask ourselves, "What could be the cause? What is my body trying to tell me?"
{Here is where I paused; I keep this not around to remind me of the amount of energy I had, or have.}
Just as the mental level encases the physical, in Jaguar we incorporate what we experience at serpent state. So if we have a headache, we're aware of our pain, but we also think about what might have caused it, such as chocolate or red wine [too much responsibility, worries about business or a fight with a Loved one ~ our body is responding with a headache].
Through the eyes of jaguar, we look at the child who is acting out in class and ask, "Is he actually unable to sit still and keep his hands to himself and if so, why?" We consider whether the child ate a lot of sugary treats and has a strong physical urge to move, if he's bored by what the teacher is saying and so on. We're able to perceive much more about the situation than we would at serpent state; consequently, we're able to think of many more solutions. We don't just punish the child that acts out, we make sure he eats a healthy breakfast and has a chance to walk and run before he has to settle into his seat and focus on listening to the teacher. We don't just pop a pain pill - we learn to say no to our extra responsibilities and start expressing the anger we've been repressing. Because we have so many more possibilities, we're able to make effective changes and solve more complex issues.

The Soul and Sacred perception: The Level of Hummingbird
The next domain of perception (which also encases the other two levels) is that of the soul. The language of this level is image, music, poetry, and dreams - it's the realm of myth, where the soul can experience itself on a sacred journey, ans is thus symbolized by hummingbird. Although tiny, this bird manages to navigate thousands of miles in its yearly migration from Canada to Brazil. It never loses its sense of direction or its drive to press forward, and never wonders if it has enough food or strength for its voyage. In the domain of the mythic, we are all like hummingbird, on a grand voyage and yearning to drink only from the nectar of life. When we don't perceive our journey as sacred, we become mired at the level of the mind and its complicated analysis of the world. From hummingbird, we perceive all of our experiences as part of an epic journey.
The hummingbird perceptual state is associated with the neocortex, the most recent addition to the human brain. The neocortex evolved around 100,000 years ago and is responsible for our ability to reason, visualize, and create. It is the brain of Galileo and Beethoven, science, art, and mythology.
At the soul level, solutions to problems that we can't solve with the mind suddenly become evident. In Peru a few years back, for instance, the native people had begun to perceive that the inexpensive, healthy, homemade, wholegrain bread that they'd been eating for generations was inferior to store-bought, heavily processed white loaves that they saw the wealthy eat. As a result, they were eating less wholesome bread, and it was affecting the well-being of the population.
The president of Peru could have tried to resolve the problem at the level of the mind and attempted to convince people through a public-relations campaign that brown bread is good for you, or he could have worked with the legislature to pass a law raising the taxes on white bread to try to force people to buy more affordable loaves. Instead, he chose to address the situation from the hummingbird level of perception.
The president recognized that to the village people of his country, white bread had come to represent success and sophistication, while brown bread symbolized poverty and ordinariness. He knew he had to change their perception that white bread is better, so he made a television clip that showed him dining with with his family in the presidential palace, eating brown bread. He knew that this would deliver the message that brown bread is the food off the successful and the sophisticated, and it worked. Indigenous people in Peru returned to eating brown bread because this was the bread of kings, not peasants!
When I eat a restaurants in Peru, I always load up my bag with extra rolls that are served, because I know I'll have an opportunity to help someone out by giving them a roll that may be their only meal of the day. Once when I was traveling with a Laika elder, I found myself in a bus station surrounded by several children who had gathered around me in the hopes that I might give them some coins or candy. I began to take the rolls out of the bag and distribute them, but the elder told me, " This is not the bread these children need. The kind of food my people need is the food of the soul, not the stomach." He took the rolls from me and distributed them to the children himself, but as he did, he also began telling them stories about their Inka ancestors.
Afterward, the elder explained, "These stories are the nourishment that they are craving. I gave them not the bread that will feed them tonight, but the bread that will feed them their entire lives." He was perceiving with the eyes of the hummingbird - to him, the stories were nourishment for the soul. When he saw me handing out rolls, he intervened at the level of the sacred by offering these people the mythology of their people.
At the level of the soul, things are what they truly are: an expression of the sacred. A house is not simply a roof over your head, it's a home. A spouse is not merely a person you share household and child-rearing duties with, but a chosen partner, a fellow traveler on a great journey. In this state, you look at bread and ask, " Am I hungry for bread, or am I hungering for the nurturing it represents?" You're able to understand the importance of breaking bread with others and how your belly can never be adequately filled when others go hungry in the world.
[*Hummingbird to be continued ;)][Continued! The realm of the Birds...]
At the level of hummingbird we listen below the surface of conversations and hear their hidden meanings. We operate in metaphors, so if we have a migraine, we ask ourselves, "Am I going out of my mind? What thoughts are stuck in my head? What is this a sign of?" In Chinese medicine, unexpressed anger is said to reside in our liver, so if we have liver trouble, we know it can be a sign our our repressed rage. So if our liver function is sluggish, we ask, "What medication can I take?" but also, "How can I practise forgiveness, both with myself and others?" We understand illness to be the warning light that tells us there's something going on that needs our attention, and we don't treat the symptom alone. When we look through the eyes of hummingbird and we see an overly active child, we ask, "How is this child's 'problem' a positive opportunity?" We recognize that giving Ritalin to a hyperactive child may make him stay in his seat and focus on what the teacher is saying, but it takes away his natural ability to multitask. In a jungle, this child's "problem" behaviour or "learning deficit" would actually be an asset - he would be able to hear the birds call to each other and the rushing of the waterfall and still engage in a conversation, all the while remaining alert to possible danger. In hummingbird, we perceive the child's distractibility as a gift that's invaluable for his soul's journey.

Spiritual Perception: The Level of Eagle
(To be continued! Or - just read the book; it's really good, and recommended :) I still have some editing to do in the transcript, too)
(In a nutshell: From this level, we do not see "a rich old man feeding bread to a poor, starving child"; we simply see Spirit nourishing Spirit.) HOWEVER... blindly adopting that attitude without wisdom, is where cult-followings become a possibility; because reality is abandoned for boundarylessness. "Spiritual People" are taken advantage of all the time. Innocence is exploited. Enlightenment is awareness of the Paradox of both things being true, and real, at the same time: Matter, and Spirit. Mattering, and not-Mattering. We see the rich man, and the hungry child, but we also see spirit exchanging with spirit. True Enlightenment is to "go away", - find it - and, "Then come back" with it. Anyone who is not based in reality, is not a Tree of Knowledge - that person has no roots. Most Importantly, a major tenet of Enlightenment is Mutual Respect. For example, society does not respect women, and men rape and murder women and children every day. Is this "spirit raping spirit"? NO: this is NOT mutual. This is below mutual. It's the Vampire of Ignorance. The Hunger; insatiable. Black Holes swallowing Suns. Man has lowered himself under mutuality. He is Snake without Eagle. Snake without Jaguar. Snake without Hummingbird. Just Snake. - would he like to be treated the way he treats others? No, he would not. I once had a gay male-friend who desired to be raped; was thrilled at the idea. I scoffed. I warned. I illuminated. Years later, after being raped, he came back to me, and with a kind of sadness, said to me: "I get it, now. In my fantasy, being raped was all about me. In reality, it's all about them." So when you encounter a non-mutual, you can mutual their behaviour (if it doesn't lower you, or make you sick); mirror their behaviour; or teach them - whatever you like. Get Wise. Beware. Enemies of Consciousness still bite. |
Lake Natron by Nick Brandt
Trauma is my favourite subject at the moment.
Trauma is the opposite of Tantra.
Trauma stops time.
It Shocks
Stuns
Horrifies
Freezes
It fragments, and confuses, and causes a shutting down, a retraction of the senses from the environment; a contraction.
It illuminates a disparity between a reality that one believed in, and the cold, harsh truth of reality as it is; something to which one can only be exposed to through direct experience.
In the past, I was very focussed on healing the world through Love, Wholeness, and Expansion. I was just born that way.
Turns out, Tantra is Alien to people of earth. I won't go into it in too much depth, here, but "power-games" rely on a finite source of power, tossed around between two or more.
The Universe, however, is Infinite...
But creatures of comfort don't like anything "too vast" - they feel exposed, and witness their smallness. Tiny warmth dissipates in open spaces...
Anyway - where was I:
Tantra is Living together; Learning together; Witnessing the True, never-before-lived Moment as it unfolds... this is how we weave the strong, rich, and colourful Fabric of Life, that we are all an integral part of.
A Relationship with Life.
Trauma happens alone, on the inside, and one is standing like a statue in a river that wont stop flowing.
Trauma doesn't just go against the grain; it doesn't "go".
Tantra is about consciously relating to the "other", face to face: Present.
Trauma is about a total disregard for another - either through unconscious accidents, things out of our control, selfish behaviours, or deliberate and pathological crimes.
When life keeps moving, trauma cannot.
Trauma rots your life.
Trauma is the Death of Innocence.
Tantra gives life; trauma takes it away.
The forward movement of TIME perpetuates trauma.
If *it* stopped, too, we might have TIME to deal, and time to catch up to ourselves, and what us and our lives have become, now.
Rather than suggest we cannot stop time (such is the modern fascination); *that* is exactly what the shamans of old, did. Time Travel through trauma, to find the light; to illuminate severance ~ they gave you TIME where you thought you had none.
When we speak about the factions of the Human Brain, we can do so either mythically, or psychologically.
If I mention the Reptilian Brain, I'm sure you would have heard of it.
We can dive into these subjects deeper, in the comments...
A journey through the Underworld with a Shaman, eventually leads to:
Rebirth
Unguided, accidental, and psychologically speaking, I guess we're calling it: "Post-Traumatic Growth"
The following article states: "Symptoms instead of Memories."
What this means, is something is actually happening to the body; that the reality of embodiment is not as understood, or as valued as it should be.
Tantra is the Art of Embodiment.
This was originally posted on the hell-place, so, many links are long-dead, and many comments had extra info.
I'll post those, below.
Read: Trauma Survivors have Symptoms - not Memories.
Comment
"Loss of safety: The world becomes a place where anything can happen.
Loss of danger cues: How do you know what is dangerous when someone you trust hurts you and this is then your ‘normal?’
Loss of trust: This is especially true if the abuser is a family member or a close family friend.
Shame: Huge, overwhelming, debilitating shame. As a child, even getting an exercise wrong at school can trigger the shame. The child may grow into an adult who cannot bear to be in the wrong because it is such a trigger.
Loss of intimacy: For survivors of sexual abuse, sexual relationships can either become something to avoid or are entered into for approval (since the child learns that sex is a way to get the attention they crave) and the person may be labeled ‘promiscuous.’
Dissociation: Often, to cope with what is happening to the body during the abuse, the child will dissociate (disconnect the consciousness from what is happening). Later, this becomes a coping strategy that is used whenever the survivor feels overwhelmed.
Loss of physical connection to body: Survivors of sexual and physical abuse often have a hard time being in their body. As Bessel van der Kolk says in The Body Keeps the Score, at some level they consider that their body let them down and so turn the volume down on physical sensations. For example, survivors may go for a long time before they realize they need to use the bathroom. This disconnection from the body makes some therapies known to aid trauma recovery, such as yoga, harder for these survivors. Trauma-informed yoga avoids some of the potential triggers and helps participants get back in touch with their bodies. Echo’s Trauma-Informed Yoga training is in November [2016]
Loss of sense of self: One of the roles of the primary caregiver is to help us discover our identity by reflecting who we are back at us. If the abuser was a parent or caregiver, then that sense of self is not well developed and can leave us feeling phony or fake.
Loss of self-worth: Trauma survivors, especially survivors of sexual abuse, can swing between feeling special, with grandiose beliefs about themselves, and feeling dirty and ‘bad.’ Trauma survivors are special – they have a PhD in survival – but this self-aggrandizement is an elaborate defense against the unbearable feeling of being an outcast and unworthy of love.
Re-enactment: Recreating the childhood dynamic expecting the same result but hoping for a different one, such as anticipating and even provoking your partner’s ‘betrayal’ but wanting badly for it to be different this time, and thus resolve your childhood dilemma. This strategy is doomed to failure because the need is in the past and cannot be resolved. Also, you are setting up the other person because you are always waiting for the other shoe to drop and will interpret anything as confirmation that you have been betrayed once more." Source

"...And Earth/Matter/Form is the only place we know of where disconnection from the interconnectedness of the Universe is a possibility. Or a choice.
Did I share this on this thread, already?"

"What forms does posttraumatic growth take?
Posttraumatic growth tends to occur in five general areas. Sometimes people who must face major life crises develop a sense that new opportunities have emerged from the struggle, opening up possibilities that were not present before.
A second area is a change in relationships with others. Some people experience closer relationships with some specific people, and they can also experience an increased sense of connection to others who suffer.
A third area of possible change is an increased sense of one’s own strength – “if I lived through that, I can face anything”.
A fourth aspect of posttraumatic growth experienced by some people is a greater appreciation for life in general.
The fifth area involves the spiritual or religious domain. Some individuals experience a deepening of their spiritual lives, however, this deepening can also involve a significant change in one’s belief system"Source

Don Juan, the Mexican Yaqui Indian shaman, tells Carlos Castaneda the following:
“We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The Predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don’t do so… I have been beating around the bush all this time, insinuating to you that something is holding us prisoner. Indeed we are held prisoner!
“This was an energetic fact for the sorcerers of ancient Mexico … They took us over because we are food for them, and they squeeze us mercilessly because we are their sustenance. just as we rear chickens in chicken coops, the predators rear us in human coops, humaneros. Therefore, their food is always available to them.”
“No, no, no, no,” [Carlos replies] “This is absurd don Juan. What you’re saying is something monstrous. It simply can’t be true, for sorcerers or for average men, or for anyone.”
“Why not?” don Juan asked calmly. “Why not? Because it infuriates you? … You haven’t heard all the claims yet. I want to appeal to your analytical mind. Think for a moment, and tell me how you would explain the contradictions between the intelligence of man the engineer and the stupidity of his systems of beliefs, or the stupidity of his contradictory behaviour. Sorcerers believe that the predators have given us our systems of belief, our ideas of good and evil, our social mores. They are the ones who set up our hopes and expectations and dreams of success or failure. They have given us covetousness, greed, and cowardice. It is the predators who make us complacent, routinary, and egomaniacal.”
“‘But how can they do this, don Juan? [Carlos] asked, somehow angered further by what [don Juan] was saying. “‘Do they whisper all that in our ears while we are asleep?”
“‘No, they don’t do it that way. That’s idiotic!” don Juan said, smiling. “They are infinitely more efficient and organized than that. In order to keep us obedient and meek and weak, the predators engaged themselves in a stupendous manoeuvre
stupendous, of course, from the point of view of a fighting strategist. A horrendous manoeuvre from the point of view of those who suffer it. They gave us their mind! Do you hear me? The predators give us their mind, which becomes our mind. The predators’ mind is baroque, contradictory, morose, filled with the fear of being discovered any minute now.” Source [Dead Link]

There is much to study, here.
But if this is confusing... I once read/heard, that *because* our minds are linked, every step toward evolution, tantra, and enlightenment that WE make, any effort we make to change our brain, we also change the predator-mind... just like "The 100th Monkey" theory.
And this is the Tantra; merging and unifying with Universal Opposition.
Any effort you make to heal your schism makes you super-human, and hero.

Unlike formally recognized PTSD diagnoses, C-PTSD doesn't stem from a singular event, but is instead the result of sustained abuse and powerlessness, from which the victim has little hope of escape.
"C-PTSD occurs when the hyper-vigilance of PTSD is accompanied by a breakdown in the ability to self-regulate," said Julian Ford, a psychology and law professor who heads the Center for Trauma Recovery at the University of Connecticut. "Intense emotions or emotional deadness will overwhelm the person's ability to cope. Mentally, they will suffer lapses in consciousness or in problem solving or judgment. And interpersonally, they will have extreme conflict in or withdraw from relationships." Source

Helpful tip for #PTSD
c/o #JessicaJones and me.
Safe spaces can include home; work; school; a Lover's grave; the beach; the library...
You're in control of this one.
You get to pick.
Adjust this as necessary, to suit your situation and geography; Jessica Jones begins with the street she grew up on, and maps the surrounding area.
I created this to have more structure, with a clear beginning, middle, and an end. This helps rewire the synaptic pathways, so they expand; rather than contract, short-circuit, and lead to neuroses.
I have found this to be a very expansive exercise, that helps to bring you out of a flashback.
