PROPAGANDA: The Hollywood Code

2021 Update: Previously, I wrote posts to inspire revelations in the reader, because I didn't like being an "explainer", so they tended to be a little abstract, and lead the reader to wonder... since writing this, I've realised people like details in clear black & white, and, newer details have since emerged that help to make this story, clearer, so I've decided to update it. Enjoy!

Once Upon a Time... sometime in the 1920's, Sigmund Freud's nephew - Edward Bernays - popularised and refined the concept of Propaganda. He even wrote a book with that title.
He based the Art of Media Manipulation on his Uncle's Research into Human Desire.

Yes, you heard that right: the original Data-Hacker, gathering info on what you desire, in order to manipulate you into doing whatever The Puppet Master wants you to do - usually, to sell you things.

The etymology of the word "Propaganda" comes from "Propagate" - which is what you do to plants when you want them to grow, and "multiply".
In Latin, it's a feminine word, because it's like Mothers, who "multiply" children.
The word rose to fame through the church - as most dangerous things do - when they wanted to "propagate" the Faith; as in, spread the word. Multiply the Church. Reach far and wide with their message.
Such is propaganda, designed to multiply through you.

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.

According to wikipedia, Propaganda is as old as Human Recorded History.
​The first time Propaganda was seen in the Media, was probably in War Propaganda - this is said to have inspired Bernays; apparently, he was inspired by how propaganda might be used for peace. 
Propaganda is like symbols and magic; in the wrong hands, it can go badly. Leading people to war and chaos.
In the right hands, it can guide you to exactly what you desire, in the shortest way.
Similarly to some of Nikola Teslas's Creations, Tesla soon realised that in the wrong hands, his creations could become very dangerous. (scroll to #8: Lasers)
Things he created for defence and medicine could also be used by bad men, aggressively: "Death Rays".

The earliest known propaganda film was a series of short silent films made during the Spanish-American War in 1898 created by Vitagraph Studios.

At an epic 120 minute running time, the 1912 Romanian IndependenÈ›a României is the first fictional film in the world with a deliberate propagandistic message... the movie was meant to shift the perception of the Romanian public towards an acceptance of Romanian involvement into an expected Balkan conflict (the First Balkan War)

Why is there always a smiling woman in a bikini selling you a car?
"Look how happy this hot-chick is. Buy this car, and you'll get all the girls."
So which is more valuable or desired: the woman, or the car?

I bet you didn't know that Diamonds weren't really even that rare and valuable?
Nor that Marilyn Monroe (Norma-Jean), herself, actually preferred diamantes.
I read that in a book, sometime; she said she preferred diamantes because you could wear so many of them, unlike diamonds. But I can't find mention of it online, just this, which says she didn't like diamonds, so let's just speculate.
My mum had this book I wasn't allowed to read, written by her housekeeper?
I just remember reading something about the cleaner walking in on Marilyn peroxiding her pubic hair, surprised that Marilyn wasn't a natural blonde.
But here is the story that diamonds aren't that rare; their value was "inflated" - propaganda.

First, Monopolise ALL the Diamond Mines

De Beers took control of the global Diamond Trade; owning as many mines as possible - by any means, mind you, and everything along the Diamond Supply route, including the jewellers.
"Blood Diamond", the movie, was created to show us the circumstances surrounding diamond mining, and Ethical Diamonds have been created to appease those who've since learned the truth. 

Second, Control Supply and Demand

Through Marketing and Propaganda, literally "invent" a need for Diamonds, where there was none. If you owned all the diamonds and supply chains, why would anybody else want one? Black Opal is rarer than Diamonds, along with many other precious gems.
No, you have to make them desire what you have.
Wealth, Power, Influence. Diamonds.
A Woman for Life.

Can't afford it? You can! A diamond is forever - coz most guys want just one thing, right? Show her you're different. Show her you're forever!

Propaganda is frequently used as Crowd Control.
To this day, the most prevalent tv shows are about Law, Order, and courtroom shenanigans.
"OBEY" is the message.
The LAW is watching - they'll get you!
These days, they protect the corporations from YOU!
Also: "You're smart. See if you can figure it out before the detectives do!"
- as long as you're not paying attention to actual reality, and your mind is occupied, we're all good.
(I may as well just quote the entire plot of THEY LIVE ~ lol)
Cooking channels are a Lifestyle; not necessarily propaganda. Although it could be said that lifestyles are for the comfortable.

I'm reminded of a quote I once saw from an online-guru.

Are Hollywood Movies influencing the behaviour of society? 

THE HAYS CODE was introduced as cinematic censorship in the 1930's; removing natural sexuality from stories resulted in the creation of a sexual sub-culture, and subsequent billion-dollar industry.

"Mankind has always recognized the importance of entertainment and its value in rebuilding the bodies and souls of human beings.
But it has always recognized that entertainment can be a character either HELPFUL or HARMFUL to the human race, and in consequence has clearly distinguished between:
a. Entertainment which tends to improve the race, or at least to re-create and rebuild human beings exhausted with the realities of life; and
b. Entertainment which tends to degrade human beings, or to lower their standards of life and living.
Hence the MORAL IMPORTANCE of entertainment is something which has been universally recognized. It enters intimately into the lives of men and women and affects them closely; it occupies their minds and affections during leisure hours; and ultimately touches the whole of their lives. A man may be judged by his standard of entertainment as easily as by the standard of his work.
So correct entertainment raises the whole standard of a nation.
Wrong entertainment lowers the whole living conditions and moral ideals of a race.

So... humans are impressionable, hey...? 

Could media and and the enlightening art of storytelling *possibly* be used to forward an agenda; specifically if someone or something had a media-monopoly...? 
Read THE HAYS CODE

Like, for example, if the church wanted to scare teenagers out of having sex, would it make sure that sexual characters in horror-movies got murdered, and virgins survived?
It did do that.
In the Playboy Documentary, "Sex at 24 Frames Per Second", I became very enlightened about a lot of Hollywood propaganda - especially how the The Hollywood Code created the porn-industry by censoring sex from stories; if stories guide the psyche, removing sex from stories about life cuts a person in half at the waist, in just the way the church does.
Isolating the lower, humanimal nature does not transmute it; it creates an underworld devoid of insight. A very dark place.

"If motion pictures present stories that will affect lives for the better, they can become the most powerful force for the improvement of mankind...

Here,   we openly acknowledge the potential for psychic influence, manipulation, and mind control.

I also watched "Sex, Censorship, And The Silver Screen"; a 6-Part Series, Hosted by Raquel Welsh - but you'll have to search for it because it's highly censored - ironically.

 "Hence, though regarding motion pictures primarily as entertainment without any explicit purpose of teaching or propaganda, they know that the motion picture within its own field of entertainment may be directly responsible for spiritual or moral progress, for higher types of social life, and for much correct thinking.

Whose thinking?

The following is an example of the seeds of the stories that have calculatingly manipulated the collective-mind since storytelling was harnessed on the silver screen; along with the psychological aftermath of these themes that have been magnified by their sojourn in the shadows.
Exclusion - regulation by agenda - thereby 'created' the shadow: it empowered the imaginary 'devil' in the dance of duality.

Perhaps at this moment you are saying to yourself what the hell has all this got to do with the Academy Awards? Why is this woman standing up here, ruining our evening, invading our lives with things that don't concern us, and that we don't care about?  Wasting our time and money and intruding in our homes.
I think the answer to those unspoken questions is that the motion picture community has been as responsible as any for degrading the Indian and making a mockery of his character, describing his as savage, hostile and evil. It's hard enough for children to grow up in this world. When Indian children watch television, and they watch films, and when they see their race depicted as they are in films, their minds become injured in ways we can never know

Hollywood is the one that keeps all of this power structure. They perpetuate the culture of racism, sexism, classism, genderism and keep it all in place. They continue to feed it, and they make a lot of money doing it. They do it at the behest of their masters, who run everything.
I speak on behalf of Hollywood. I go to parties, Oscar parties and things like that and big stars pull me aside, take my arm and whisper: "I just want to thank you for the things you say." And it blows my mind, but that's the culture; it's a culture of fear.
It's a big culture of mind control: MK Ultra rules in Hollywood.

So What Can I Do?

Start asking yourself: what is this trying to sell me?
Whether it's a lifestyle, or an idea, or an actual product. 
Most importantly, whether it's psychological warfare, trying to distract you from reality: reality is where the rich steal all the land, all the resources, and suggest that is you spend your time and life labouring for others, when you get really old and tired, you might be able to buy your dream car.
​Ask yourself: why can't you have that now?
